The honoured "Wartehalle City Plus"

The Ströer Group received the renowned red dot award product design 2009 for their street furniture "Rent a Bike Terminal" and "Wartehalle City Plus". The red dot label is recognised as a seal of quality all over the world. On 29th June 2009, Ströer designer Roger Marschaleck will be presented with the award at a ceremony in the Aalto Theater, Essen.

"This is the seventh time that our products have been honoured with the red dot award. We are very pleased that our work has once again been internationally recognised. Quality, function and design go hand in hand with street furniture and every day we implement these requirements with our development work", says Roger Marschleck, the proud Ströer designer.

Rent a Bike Terminal
The "Call a Bike System", a joint venture from Ströer and Deutsche Bahn, provides easy bike rental for tourists and the general public. The newly developed "Rent a Bike Terminals" are the prerequisite for more convenience and better bike distribution. Following a one-time registration process, customers can rent and track available bikes.

The terminals' high-quality exterior uses aluminium and glass to give the street furniture a sleek, modern look.

Wartehalle City Plus (Shelter City Plus)
The newly designed Wartehalle City Plus fulfils all requirements regarding accessibility, modularity and high quality. The linear appearance is subordinate to the city architecture and can also be adapted. All functional elements such as screws, glass, lighting and rain water drainage are integrated and easy to maintain.

Awnings and smooth surfaces ensure a high level of vandalism resistance for the shelter as well as optimal conditions for easy cleaning. The modular dimensions of the height, width and roof depth can be easily adjusted.
