Corporate Social Responsibility As a major media company it is our policy to accept social responsibility and to make a contribution to society and the quality of life enjoyed by the inhabitants and visitors to cities, above and beyond our normal business activities. Social and charitable projects are dependent on the public at large. No medium is better suited than our out-of-home media for drawing public attention to these projects with a wide coverage.

Since 2006, Ströer Deutsche Städte Medien GmbH has been involved in a cooperation project entitled “Communication and Monument” with the Monument Academy of the German Foundation for Monument Protection. Part of this cooperation is the development of concepts for the careful treatment of historical property in the course of future advertising activities.

In 2007, we used the electronic Infoscreens in the underground stations of several German cities to support a recruitment campaign for the unemployed in cooperation with the Hamburg-based creative agency NGGK.

Since 2006, Ströer has been a cooperation partner of the German Central Bone Marrow Donor Register (DKMS). On a regular basis, our employees have the opportunity to undergo a voluntary typing procedure and be added to the German Central Bone Marrow Donor Register.

Ströer stands for the compatibility of job and family. That is why we opened our company daycare centre at our Cologne group headquarters in 2007.

In late 2007, we initiated a cooperation project with the “Initiative for Missing Children“. As an expert in public communication, Ströer provided advertising faces dedicated to finding missing children and young people, in order to increase public awareness of these young people who have disappeared.
